The committee of the Bavarian Parliament which is investigating the case of Dr. Philip Auerbach, arrested over a year ago on charges of financial irregularities in the administration of the Bavarian Restitution Office, has filed a new application with the Ministry of Justice for Dr. Auerbach to testify before the committee.
An earlier application, granted by a lower court, was turned down when it was appealed to a superior provincial court. If the Ministry of Justice turns down the second application, the Parliamentary committee will file charges of “breach of the constitution” in the Federal Constitutional Court at Karlsruhe.
