Bearded Jews Cannot Be Cab Drivers Kowno Chief of Police Orders

Cab drivers cannot cultivate beards any more in the Republic of Lithuaniain the opinion of the Chief of Police in the city of Kowno. The Chief withdrew the license of the two Jewish cab drivers to-day because these drivers have whiskers. It is not permissable for cab drivers to be bearded, he declared.
