Freed by the Nazis after their capture of the Estonian steamer Estonia last week, Moses Beckelman, a member of the European staff of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, arrived today at Malmo, Sweden. Beckelman, 34, is an American citizen. He expressed the hope that Isaac Giterman, former head of the American relief organization’s Warsaw office, and Moses Orzech, correspondent of the New York Jewish Daily Forward, would soon be freed by the Nazis. All three were among passengers and crew disembarked at the German port of Swinemuende after the Estonia’s capture by a Nazi warship.
