Arab leaders are trying to stir up Bedouins in Transjordan to participate in future Palestine disorders and overthrow the Transjordan Government if their demands are not granted. Emir Abdullah, Arab ruler of Transjordan, has warned High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope.

His warning, in the form of a secret memorandum submitted on Feb. 3, was published today in Haboker, Hebrew daily. It charged the Grand Mufti, Haj Amin el Husseini, and the Istaqlal Nationalist Party with carrying on the agitation.

Recalling Great Britain’s debt to him because he resigned the throne of Iraq, he said former War Secretary Winston Churchill and Col. Lawrence of Arabia had promised him the Syrian throne, and emphasized that now was the moment for fulfillment.

“Now is the moment to solve the Palestine problem,” the Emir said, according to the version of the memorandum published in Haboker. He concluded with a demand for funds to face possible surprises.
