A professional beggars’ association has been organize here, it was reported today by the newspaper Haboker, through whose columns the association appeals to the public for support.
Announcing that it would try to become a “model organization in Tel Aviv,”the association said it had decided to divide Tel Aviv into sections, allotting one group of beggars to each. Beggars discovered to be owners of property or fortunes, the announcement said, will be pilloried.
