Premier Menachem Begin’s health continues to improve, according to a medical bulletin issued last night. The team of doctors treating him said Begin was “increasing his activity” and was yesterday visited by members of his family and aides.
The question of Begin’s health was the subject of a statement made over the weekend by Dan Pattir, the Premier’s press secretary. Pattir termed as “nonsense” the speculation about Begin’s health by journalists and doctors not treating Begin. He said that from now on he would be the only official spokesman on the Premier’s health, based on official medical reports. Any other announcements concerning Begin’s health will be considered unauthorized, Pattir said.
