The Jewish Historical Society announced today the purchase of the Anglo-Judaica collection of the late Maurice Myers, son of Asher Myers, for many years editor of The Jewish Chronicle, as the basis for reconstitution of the library destroyed during a recent air raid. The collection includes invaluable material, such as the only copy of the Cartwright petition of 1648 for the recall of the Jews to England.
