Premier Menachem Begin is resting at home under doctors orders for the next several days to recover from a knee complaint before his summit visit to Washington next week.
The Premier was examined and X-rayed at Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hospital today and doctors said later he needed several days of rest without putting his body’s weight on his painful knee. They said it would be a matter of “only a few days” before Begin would be able to walk about normally and without pain again.
The Hadassah Hospital statement did not specify the Premier’s complaint but other sources said unofficially he has water on the knee.
