Sources close to former Premier Menachem Begin said today that he may soon end the self-imposed seclusion which has kept him out of the public eye for the last 100 days. They said he has shaved off his beard, indicating that the skin ailment which plagued him is improved, and that he is gradually emerging from the deep depression that set in following the death of his wife, Aliza, in November, 1982.
Begin has been a virtual recluse in the Prime Minister’s residence since he announced his intention to resign last August. The sources said he is now preparing to move to a rented apartment in the Yeffe Nof suburb of Jerusalem, near the home of his son, Binyamin.
