Beginning Wednesday victims of rape in the greater Tel Aviv area will be able to get help 24 hours a day at the rape crisis center established by the Israel Feminist Movement. Some volunteers will staff phones at the center and other volunteers will accompany the rape victim during her police interrogation. Beds will be available at the center both for volunteers on the night shift and for rape victims who live alone and are afraid to go home after their harrowing experience. The volunteers, many of whom are not members of the Feminist Movement, will refer victims to agencies offering psychological, legal or other assistance on a long-term basis, as required.
