Belgian authorities are probing a threat against local El Al operations. Brussels city prosecutors said Monday that a letter had been found in the bathrooms of Zaventem airport, threatening attacks on Israel’s national carrier. According to media reports, the would-be terrorists claimed to want to avenge Israel’s offensive in Lebanon. El Al declined to comment on the incident, saying only that its operations at Zaventem were continuing as usual.
