The Belgian Government has awarded one of its highest decorations to Laura L. Margolis, a welfare worker who followed the Allied armies into Belgium before V-E Day to organize the JDC’s emergency program of assistance for the thousands of surviving Belgian Jews who were desperately sick and destitute at the time of their liberation, it was announced here today.
