All former residents of Belgium whose movable property was confiscated during the Hitlerite occupation were advised today by the World Jewish Congress in New York to file claims against the Federal Republic of Germany as soon as possible. Similar claims are now being registered by Nazi victims who were in France and Holland.

The World Jewish Congress estimates that a few thousand former Belgian residents are now living in the United States and other countries of the American continent. The West German Federal Restitution Law of 1957 applies to such confiscations provided that the property was carried off to the area of the Federal Republic of Germany or to Perlin.Claimant in this category should contact the Aide Aux Israelites Victims de la Guerre, 121 a chaus de Charleroi, Bruxelles from whom the forms necessary for filing claims may be obtained
