A Belgian Pro-Palestine Committee, composed of prominent statesmen and non-Zionist Jewish leaders was formed here today. A manifesto was issued immediately upon formation of the committee, calling for support for the Jewish National Home in Palestine.
Charles Hagnette, president of the Belgian Senate, was elected president of the committee and Prof. de Donder was chosen secretary. Members include Leon Casorel, banker; Senator Louis Debrouckere, labor leader; Deputy Albert Deveze, Liberal leader; Pierre Orts, a member of the Mandates Commission; Comtesse Helena Goblet Dalvia and Emile Vandervelde.
