Belgian television devoted a whole evening to Albert Einstein to mark the 100th anniversary of his birth. Several of the participants recalled that Einstein had been a Zionist since 1919 and had been offered the Presidency of Israel after the death of Chaim Weizmann, Israel’s first President.
