The Belgian Ministry of Justice today announced that henceforth Belgian courts will not consider German Jewish refugees German nationals.
Previously, the Belgian courts have ignored the Allied practice of refusing to force Jews to accept German nationality, and have insisted upon registering all refugees from Germany as German nationals. This has often led to a situation where refugees from Germany suffered from the discrimination intended for the supporters of the Nazi regime.
