A fine of 600 dinar has been imposed by a Yugoslavian court upon the editor of the German-language newspaper Erwache who was convicted of falsely quoting the Talmud. Experts of the Belgrade Theological College testified to the falsity of the quotations. The case was brought before the court by the Federation of Jewish Communities of Yugoslavia.
