Premier David Ben Gurion today summoned United States Ambassador Edward B. Lawsort for a conference, al which he called the attention of the American diplomat to the dangerous consequences that may arise from repeated raids in Israel by Arab commandos know as fedayeen It is understood that Ambassador Lawson was asked by the Israel Premier to convey the contents of the talk to the State Department in Washington.

The talk took place following increased fedayeen activities which resulted in the dynamiting last night of an irrigation pipeline near Beersheba the sabotaging of telephone lines in the area, and the placing of a bomb under water installations.

The Israel Foreign Office today issued a statement warning of the likelihood of “disastrous results” from these repeated actions, and drawing attention to the fact that Egypt is openly stepping up its policy of aggression against Israel in defiance of the U. N.

Walter Eytan, director-general of the Foreign Ministry, pointed out in a statement that the official Cairo radio had announced on December 2 that “fedayeen have decided to strike a severe blow inside Israel this winter” “This policy,” said Mr. Eytan,. “must have disastrous results for security in the Middle East.”

The Foreign Ministry official pointed out that one of the United Nations resolutions adopted by the special General Assembly, after–Israel’s action had started in the Sinai campaign, called on all countries “to desist from raids into neighboring territory.” Israel, said Mr. Eytan, still awaits assurances from the United Nations against the renewal of Egyptian belligerence.
