David Ben Gurion, chairman of the executive of the Jewish Agency, today asked the Jewish Telegraphic Agency to deny reports published in the American press that he allegedly advocated the executive’s acceptance of the resignation submitted by Dr. Abba. Hillel Silver.
The contrary is true, Ben Gurion said, revealing that he stated that if Dr. Silver resigns, his resignation should not be accepted. This view was unanimously endorsed by the executive, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns.
