Former Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion ended today the brief retirement from public life which began with his surprise resignation last June by agreeing to join the Mapai Bureau for a number of major assignments. The bureau is the Mapai agency which directs and builds party activity and policy. Reuven Barkat, Mapai general secretary, in announcing Mr. Ben-Gurion’s return to party activity at a Mapai secretariat meeting, said that details on Mr. Ben-Gurion’s work had not yet been decided.
