The first annual Stephen S. Wise award for out-standing service to Israel was given today by the American Jewish Congress to Israel’s Premier David Ben Gurion. The award, of $1,500, was accepted by Ambassador Eliahu Elath at a luncheon held by the officers of the A.J.C. at the Savoy Plaza Hotel. Rabbi Irving Miller, president of the organization, made the presentation.
