Premier David Ben Gurion today sent a congratulatory cable to Soviet Premier Josef Stalin on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the October Revolution. The message said:
“On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the great October Revolution, pray accept on behalf of the state of Israel and on my own behalf our best wishes to you personally and to the Soviet Government and all its peoples. Our people, building its historic homeland, remember well the part played by the Soviet Union in defeating the Nazi enemy as well as its contribution towards the establishment of the state of Israel. We send to the peoples of the U.S.S.R. our sincere wishes for economic and cultural prosperity, happiness and permanent peace.”
