A warning to the Arab states not to dare attack Israel lest the Israel Army of Defense destroy the attacking forces in their own countries, was sounded in Acre today by Premier David Ben Gurion.
Addressing the massed troops of the Golani Brigade, the Premier said that the army had “proved itself” since the War of Liberation. He also praised it for having been a “melting pot” and a unifying force for newcomers from many different lands. Mr. Ben Gurion and Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Moshe Dayan, took the salute. Earlier, Mr. Ben Gurion was cheered wildly as he drove through the streets of Acre in a jeep.
