Government aid for Jewish institutions in the same proportion as for Moslem institutions was requested yesterday by Yitzchak Ben Zvi, who represented the Jewish population in a conference at Government House with Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister, British Minister of Colonial Affairs, who is at present visiting Palestine.

Ben Zvi urged an increase in the government budget for the Jewish schools and hospitals, as well as a government appropriation toward the support of the rabbinical courts, to the same degree in which the government supports the Moslem courts. Sir Cunliffe-Lister promised sympathetic consideration for the proposals.
