Benjamin H. Swig, national Jewish communal leader, was honored with the re-naming of Camp Saratoga-Union Institute as the “Benjamin H. Swig Camp for Living Judaism.”
The official name-changing ceremonies took place at the California Regional Biennial convention of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, the parent organization of the camp. The convention was held in Palo Alto.
Mr. Swig is founder of the Camp, second in a group of seven Camps for Living Judaism owned and operated by American Reform Judaism.
