Benjamin Hooks, executive director of the NAACP, will join Albert Vorspan, vice president of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, in a meeting on “A Social Justice Agenda for the 1980s” at the Washington Hebrew Congregation Oct. 21. The meeting is believed to be the first public dialogue by national Black and Jewish leaders since the resignation of Andrew Young in August. They will present the Black and Jewish perspective on the subject.
