Benno Moisewitsch, world-famous Russian-born Jewish pianist, died here last night at the age of 73. Born in Odessa, he attended the Imperial School of Music there and won the Anton Rubinstein Prize at the age of nine. He made his debut in England when he was 18, and in the United States in 1919. He made England his home, and became a British subject.
