A Jewish Educational Center to house the Hebrew school and provide facilities for social activities was dedicated Sunday evening by the Sons of Israel, the Orthodox congregation of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.
The Educational Center and Talmud Torah building, with a capacity of 600 children, and a large auditorium, was erected at a cost of $175,000.
Four hundred leading residents of Bensonhurst gathered at a dedication banquet given Sunday evening in the auditorium of the new building. Samuel Kramer, president of the congregation, presided. The gathering was addressed by Rabbi Nachman H. Ebin, Rabbi of the congregation, Judge Mitchell May, Judge Geismar, Harris L. Selig. Abraham Cohen, chairman of the building committee, and Mrs. Nachman H. Ebin, president of the Women’s Auxiliary.
