There are many signs of a revival of open anti-Semitism in various parts of Germany, Heinz Galinski, leader of the Berlin Jewish community, charged in an article in the current issue of the “Algemeine Wochenzeitung der Juden in Deutschland.” He cited the case of a Berlin newspaper which uses its columns for indirect anti-Semitic propaganda.
A Darmstadt court has sentenced a German to 14 days’ imprisonment for voicing anti-Semitic insults in public. It also fined a friend of his involved in the same incident 100 marks (approximately $25).
