Although in existence for over five years, it is only in the last twelve months that “the School of Jewish Youth,” of Berlin, has made its greatest progress, according to the Juedische Rundschau.
The school???s attendance has doubled in the last year, and many students have to be turned away because of lack of facilities.
Coupled with the expansion of the school there has also been an extension of the program of instruction. While formerly only Hebrew and general cultural subjects were taught, today the emphasis is placed upon studies of Jewish life and achievements and of contemporary problems facing the modern Jew.
