The name of Professor James Goldschmidt, internationally distinguished authority on criminal law, is added today to the list of German Jewish scholars “retired” by order of the Nazi government.
Prof. Goldschmidt, who is 59, has taught at the University of Berlin since 1901. He was for many years director of the Kriminalistischen Instituts, and is responsible for a great many reform measures in the German penal code.
