Berlin University Student Sentenced for Inciting Against Jews

Helmut-George Hauser, a medical student at the Free University of Berlin, today was sentenced to three weeks in jail and three year’s probation, after being convicted of “offending Jewish fellow-citizens. “

A year ago, last April, Hauser wrote a letter to a student newspaper at the university, declaring: “The Jew comes back to Germany, playing here the poor man, and meanwhile Jews live undisturbed and well in Israel. ” He closed his letter with “Gut Heil ” A professor at the university initiated the complaint which resulted in the student’s conviction.
