The State Department “does not see how the assassination of Count Folke Bernadotte would have any bearing upon American recognition of Israel.” a Department spokesman said this week-end.

Secretary of State George C. Marshall today flew to Paris to take command of the American delegation at the United Nations General Assembly session which opens there Tuesday.
