Bernarda verbitsky one of Argentine’s foremost fiction writers, died here Friday at the age of 71 after a long illness. A few months ago he received the Argentine Goncourt Prize for his novel, “Sister Shadow Sister Loneliness.” Verbitsky, who was born in Buenos Aires, became famous with the publication of his novel, “Slums Are Also America” (1957).
