The illusion that the Jewish persecution in Germany will gradually diminish is ridiculed here by the Pariser Tageblatt, German language paper published in Paris and edited by GeorgBernhard. Streesing that Hitler is determined to completely annihilate the German Jewish population, the Tageblatt quotes as proof an article in this week’s Deutsche Wochenschau, an important Nazi weekly.
Addressing itself to the Jews, the nazi weekly sways: “Don’t think that we will ever ever forget what you Jews committed against our German people. Even a thousand years will not make us forget it.” The article maintains that the Jews will be “repaid eye for eye and tooth fo tooth.”
The Nazi paper reealls the murder of Horst Wessel while Dr. Bernhard Weiss was assistand police president of Berlin, adding that if the Jews do not behave modestly, the number of Jewish refugees will son be swelled to even greater proportions than up to now . “You seem to forget than you are here only on toleration, and our patience may sudenly come to an end”, the Nazi paper concluded.
The Tageblatt points out that anyone, who after such a declaration, still believes in the possibility of pacification and reconciliation, will soon experience a great disappointment.
