The boycott of goods made in Germany must be unconditionally continued, declared Dr. Georg Bernhard, editor of the Pariser Tageblatt, in a speech at the German Club here.
While the boycott idea has been taken up spontaneously by the Jewish masses of Eastern Europe, England and America, it is no longer a purely Jewish matter, Dr. Bernhard asserted. He pointed out that the most ardent supporters of the boycott at present are faithful Christians of all confessions.
The Hitler government will not be conquered by the boycott alone, Dr. Bernhard said, but it is a most important factor, since “National Socialism respects only him who offers resistance and opposes force with force.”
