The present Hungarian Government in its administration of the country’s affairs is consistently following along the lines of the “Christian National policy”, Prime Minister Bethlen declared in Parliament yesterday.
The Premier at the conclusion of a long address outlining the Government’s policy said that there was a time when the Government was reproached for its alleged anti-Semitism. At present, however, he said, the Government is charged with pursuing a Jewish policy and of having sold itself to the bankers. “Neither of these assertions are true. The Government consistently strives to restore the country to the Christian National course, pursuing such policies, however, as appear to be necessary in view of the immediate requirements.”
