Between 11-12 percent of Jewish brides Israel are pregnant at the time of their marriage, according to a survey by two staff members of the Central Bureau of Statistics. The study showed that pregnancy before marriage is most frequent among Israel-born women. Premarital first pregnancies among them is 14 percent.
