A report that the Albanian government has, through its consulate in Salonica, invited Jews to settle in Albania, was denied here today by Remzi Celo, acting Albanian Minister in Greece.
M. Celo declared that nothing is known to him of any such intentions on the part of his government. He denies ever having made a statement to the press inviting Jewish refugees to Albania.
The report was credited to the Albanian Consul-General in Salonica. It stated that the Albanian Cabinet decided at a special session last week not only to invite Jewish immigrants to Albania but also to make certain concessions to those of them who will bring capital into the country.
