Observers here said today there was a possibility that the Big Four may invite Peking to make up a Big Five in future deliberations on the Middle East as a result of the admission of the People’s Republic of China into the United Nations and the expulsion of Nationalist China (Taiwan) this week. Although one of the five permanent members of the Security Council, Taiwan did not participate in the discussions on the Middle East by the United States, Soviet Russia, Britain and France. Observers said the reason probably was that a majority of the Big Four did not want Taiwan’s participation. The United Nations’ Middle East peace envoy. Dr. Gunnar V. Jarring, returns to Moscow tonight to resume his post as Sweden’s Ambassador to the Soviet Union. He is expected back in mid-November when the General Assembly starts its debate on the Mideast.
