A bill outlawing anti-Jewish discrimination by public places and employers in the province of Ontario has passed its first reading in the Ontario Parliament. Introduced by the Attorney-General of the province, following a suggestion by Governor-General Matthews in his annual “Speech from the Throne.” the measure is being supported by all major political parties represented in the legislature. The bill was sponsored by the Canadian Jewish Congress.
