(Jewish Daily Bulletin)
The bill, introduced by Congressman Dickstein, to admit outside the quota, the wives and minor children of ministers and rabbis, as well as professors, who arrived in America prior to July 1, 1924, was passed by the House of Representatives yesterday.
Extreme hardship has been caused these relatives due to the technical interpretation of the Immigration Law, which discriminated against them, while the relatives of rabbis who arrived since July 1, 1924, have, according to the provisions of the law, been allowed to enter as non-quota immigrants.
