The Binghamton Jewish community will launch a three-fold drive to raise $2,500 for Palestine settlers and German refugees starting May 13.
It will seek to assist German Jews fleeing Hitler persecution; to contribute funds to the Joint Distribution Committee and to purchase equipment for German Jews settling in Palestine. Manuel S. Davis has been selected honorary chairman and David Levene general chairman.
The drive will be conducted under the direction of the Binghamton Federation for Jewish Welfare, representing many organizations.
