Jewish Telegraphic Agency
A birthday is not an occasion for announcing one’s views, declared Georg Brandes, celebrated Danish Jewish critic, who attained the age of eighty-five yesterday.
Representatives of various newspapers attempted to obtain an interview with Mr. Brandes. He declined, however, declaring that a birthday does not enhance the value of an author’s manuscripts.
Mr. Brandes was the recipient of many congratulations from all parts of the world.
