The freedom of religious worship in the United States was emphasized by the Right Rev. William T. Manning, Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Diocese of New York, in dedicating the new Protestant Chapel of Christ the Consoler at Bellevue Hospital yesterday. After commenting on the fact that the chapel was adjacent to Catholic and Jewish places of worship, the Bishop said the existence of these three faiths side by side “reminds us how thankful we ought to be to live in a land where men are free to worship God according to their conscience.”
