Jacob Blaustein, honorary president of the American Jewish Committee, today completed a week’s visit to Israel as a guest of the Government. during which he conferred with President Zalman Sbazar, Premier Levi Eshkol, former Premier David Ben-Gurion and members of the Cabinet. Mr. Blaustein issued the following statement:
“As an American, I firmly hope that the Government of the United States will continue to make a contribution toward the establishment and maintenance of peace in the Middle East as it has done in the past since I consider this among the basic objectives of Israel.”
