A testimonial volume inscribed by prominent figures was presented to Jacob Blaustein tonight at a dinner marking his retirement as president of the Associated Jewish Charities of Baltimore after a tenure of four years. Several hundred leading members of the Baltimore Jewish community attended the dinner, held at the Lord Baltimore Hotel.
Speakers included Sidney Lansburgh, chairman of the Baltimore United Jewish Appeal; Dr. Abel Wolman of Johns Hopkins University and Director Harry Greenstein of the Associated Jewish Charities. Greetings were extended by Governor Herbert R. O’ Connor of Maryland and Mayor Howard W. Jackson of Baltimore. L. Edwin Goldman, prominent Baltimorean, succeeds Blaustein as president.
