Esperantists have succeeded in rescuing from Poland a number of blind Jewish girls, it was reported today to British representatives of the Universal Association of Blind Esperantists. Two of the girls have been brought to England and several others to Sweden.

Esperanto, a universal language, was founded by the late Dr. Ludwig Zamenhof a Polish Jewish physician. The entire Zamenhof family, including a daughter who recently lectured in the United States, was reported to have been arrested in Warsa shortly after the Nazi occupation.
