Mikulas Grosz, a blind violinist who survived the Nazi camp at Terezin, will make his London debut next month. Grosz became sightless at the age of three and studied at the Prague Conservatory, graduating with top honors. Rounded up in 1942 by the Nazis, he was sent to the Terezin concentration camp along with thousands of other Prague Jews. His violin playing is said to have kept alive the spirits and hopes of his fellow inmates.
