Prof. Abraham H. Fraenkel, president of the 43 B’nai B’rith lodges in Israel, told the annual meeting of the B’nai B’rith national executive committee here last night that “B’nai B’rith is a great moral force in Israel today because it supplies the only platform where people of different political parties can meet and discuss major prolems in a spirit of unity. ” Prof. Fraenkel brought personal greetings to B’nai B’rith in America from Israel President Chaim Weizmann, who is himself a member of the order.
Another speaker was Jack Morrison, president of B’nai B’rith in Great Britain, who reported on activities of his organization and efforts to rehabilitate lodges in Europe. He said that the first steps are being taken to establish B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations in English universities similar to those existing at American schools.
